It's not like he hasn't had plenty of chances until now, and I suspect that both the United States and Israel will recognize this for what it is: stalling. If Arafat gets a time extension, it will be measured in hours and not in weeks. But I think he
will get one because I think Sharon really does want him to crack down -- because I think
Israel is trying to set off a Palestinian civil war.
