(On Screen): Condi Rice has now testified in front of the 9/11 commission. I didn't watch it, and don't really care too much about it, since I think the entire business is a tempest in a teapot. However, I did look at this AP report, and noticed that they felt they needed to include both sides:
But some family members of victims of the attacks expressed anger. "No one wants to take any responsibility. Three thousand people died and all they want to talk about is structural problems. They should be ashamed of themselves," said Bob McIlvaine, whose son died when the World Trade Center towers were destroyed in New York in 2001.
They must have hunted pretty hard in the crowd to find Mr. McIlvaine. They also don't seem to have felt any need to mention his support for the group Peaceful Tomorrows. He has a right to support such a group, of course; there's nothing at all wrong with that. But don't you think it's relevant to this news story?
Or to mention that he had previously been in the news when he condemned the Bush campaign for using pictures from the events of 9/11 in political ads?
