20030908.1242 (On Screen): Someone has put LSD in the Tehran water supply.
In reaction to news that the Europeans have finally decided that Hamas is a terrorist organization, the Iranian government says that this makes no sense. Hamas is, in fact, the moral equivalent of Europe's anti-Nazi resistance.
...And that would make Israel?
[They can't be the Nazis; the US is the Nazis according to German Indymedia. Seems to be some LSD in the water in Deutschland, too.]
The government there is considering a bill which would block funding for terrorist groups. Or rather, for groups which the Iranian government considered terrorist. al Qaeda is terrorist. Hamas is not. (See, they're "freedom fighters".)
Meanwhile, with respect to Iran's quest to develop nukes: if others actually insist on having Iran's nuclear programs be fully inspected, it could be a problem. Better to press less, so that Iran can resist the pressure. And anyway, Iran needs more time to finish the job to convince hardliners.
Besides which, nuclear weapons are unIslamic. Iran could never develop such a thing, so there's nothing to worry about and no need for inspections.
Makes ya wonder, don't it? I thought LSD was unIslamic, too.
