(Captain's log): The 101st Airborne has received orders to deploy to the CENTCOM area.

The UK has ordered more RAF units to move to the Gulf. After this deployment they will have 100 fixed wing aircraft available.

USS Theodore Roosevelt has received orders to deploy to the region, to join USS Harry S. Truman, USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Constellation. We may also send USS Kitty Hawk and USS Nimitz and possibly USS George Washington. (Constellation is due to be decomissioned after this mission; a great old lady giving us one last service.)

The Pentagon has activated another 17,000 reserves, raising the total to more than 111,000.

Update: Bush declares "The game is over." The UN is permitted to act one more time, but only if its act is to authorize war and it happens very soon; otherwise we'll go on without it.

The State Department has issued a warning to Americans worldwide.

Update: The Turkish Parliament gave permission for Americans to work to upgrade bases there. This strongly suggests they'll also give permission to use them when the time comes.
