20021021.1155 (On Screen): An officer in the French Army went on vacation here in North America, and has deserted. He didn't return to duty, and it's likely he's still here. He's a marksman. The French reported it to Interpol, raising the possibility that he is the mysterious Washington sniper.
This is like something out of the Onion: what will the political fallout be if it turns out that a Frenchman (a member of the French military, no less! an officer!) is waging a terrorist war against the US?
Maybe it's time to add one more chair to the Axis of Evil.
Of course, if the sniper is French, then we'd need to sit down and consider all the evil things we'd done to France to inspire him to such rage, right?
