(Captain's log): Well, I'm glad to see that you folks didn't blow up the world while I was gone. And indeed I did not pay any attention to the news while I was on vacation. I did do some writing when I was inspired, which are below. So let's take a look at the headlines:

Seems as if India and Pakistan haven't started a serious shooting war yet. (Whew!)

Yet another Iraqi radar site has been bombed.

Israel is still hunting for Palestinian militants in the West Bank.

The Lindh trial is still a circus, with his lawyers wriggling as hard as they can.

They still don't know who killed Chandra Levy.

Yet another accusation that a top American government official is a war criminal. (Let's just condemn every American for being war criminals and get it over with, OK?)

Oh well, guess nothing important happened this week.
