Stardate
20020328.0740 (On Screen): Jesse Jackson continues his efforts to try to win a Nobel Peace Prize. First, he was instrumental in negotiating the release of our servicemen in China after the mid-air collision. Then he helped to avert war in Afghanistan by negotiating with the Taliban.
Well, in his own mind, anyway. He offered to do those things and was ignored. And now he's offering to mediate between the Israelis and Palestinians. The mind boggles.
I think the problem was just that Jackson hadn't been in the headlines for a long time and needed a publicity fix. And, as we all know, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Is there any legal basis for lifting his passport?
