(On Screen): This article describes what really took place over the last few days regarding the Pairs Figure Skating debacle in the judging. In the routine post-competition meeting between the judges and referees, the French judge broke down and started sobbing while talking about how the head of the French skating federation had put her under intolerable pressure to vote for the Russian pair.

As a result of that, the decision was made to nullify her vote. Without it, the score was tied and that meant that both the Russian and Canadian teams should get gold medals. The French Judge is suspended from judging (and has gone home). Everyone's happy.

Actually, nearly everyone is pissed off now. But I have a different question: what about the other four judges who selected the Russian skaters over the Canadians? If her vote for them was invalid, why aren't they all being investigated too?

Is she being penalized simply because she was stupid enough to confess?
