Stardate
20020207.0557 (On Screen): I remember seeing a vampire movie once, one of the ones with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. In the ultimate confrontation, Cushing (the good guy) confronts Lee (the vampire) and is near to being overpowered by the vampire's super-human strength. And then Cushing grabs two candlesticks and holds them across each other to form a cross, and the sight of it drives Lee away.
Some people seem to believe in magic. Pronounce the right words, and the monsters will go away. You won't even have to look under your bed. Evidently the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards thinks that if he says "Viet Nam" and "quagmire" loudly enough, then he won't find America under his bed, waiting to get him when he turns the light out. (Maybe he should try garlic.)
