Stardate
20020206.1223 (On Screen): John Walker Lindh is under indictment for ten crimes, and I think he's toast. He certainly won't be facing a sympathetic jury, and in several cases they have clear evidence of his guilt even if they don't rely on his confession.
His lawyers will do the best they can for him, but the case is hopeless. His parents will weep and wail and try to claim that he's really a good boy under the skin, but that won't help. Lindh is going to go away for a long time. He's never going to walk free again.
And since, in my opinion, he truly is guilty, that is as it should be. Traitors must be punished.
