Stardate
20020206.1152 (On Screen): The anti-war crowd have been clutching at straws to find ways of criticizing the results of the operation in Afghanistan. One favorite rhetorical comment is that the Taliban are gone but what replaced them isn't any better.
It's particularly ironic that there is a strong congruence between being anti-war and being leftist and radical feminist, because if there is one thing that has improved in Afghanistan because of the war, it's been the lot of the women there. It is reported that Kabul University held entrance exams today, and that women were permitted to take them. Under the Taliban it was a death-penalty offense to educate girls beyond the age of 8.
Why are so many of the leftists having such a hard time admitting this?
