(On Screen): As if Ev wasn't already saturated with traffic, now we're going to see Slashdot look like pikers. Quentin points out this article from the BBC about blogging, which says "You can do it, too! It's easy! All you gotta do is go to Blogger.com and sign up. And it's free!" So don't be too surprised if updates on sites which use Blogger are intermittent today, because Blogger's server is going to be getting hammered.

Not that I have any right to complain about sites being inaccessible. I woke up this morning and found that I hadn't had any front page loads at all in the hour and a half since the daily counter reset at 4:00AM. Ordinarily on a Monday I'd have had at least a hundred by that point. It turned out that my cable modem had gotten wedged somehow; power cycling it fixed everything.

I wonder how much traffic you get if you're slashdotted by the BBC. (I'll probably never find out.)
