20011229.0711 (Captain's Log): Ever since yesterday afternoon, I've been getting hammered by an out-of-control 'bot at Avantgo (sync0.avantgo.com plus a lot of other similar names). It's not exactly clear what it's function is, but it's been reloading my page over and over. So for the first time I just blocked a bank of IPs in my firewall. (Specifically, 64.157.224.0-64.157.224.255) I've never used the server's firewall before so it's possible I screwed up. If you notice a problem, please let me know.
