Stardate 20010920.0600 (On Screen): I confess that I'm surprised. The Afghani Ulema (the gathering of clerics, essentially their legislature) found a third alternative between simply giving bin Laden up to the US and pugnaciously refusing to do so. They've asked him to leave the country "voluntarily" to go into exile somewhere else. Unfortunately, that's not good enough, and it won't prevent the US from bombing.
