Stardate 20010912.1226 (On Screen): It's clear that the Taliban still don't understand the US. "The Taliban appealed to the U.S. not to attack Afghanistan because the Afghan people are already in a great deal of misery." They really think that matters to us now? If the Taliban wants to keep us from attacking Afghanistan, all they have to do is give us bin Laden and close down all his training camps and facilities in Afghanistan. Simple, really. (And while they're at it, they can quit wasting their breath telling us that he's not involved; no-one cares what the Taliban says about that anymore.)
