Stardate 20010803.1553 (On Screen via long range sensors): I'm not quite sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. TV ratings for the "Miss America" contest have been in decline for years and last year they became intolerably low for the show's producers. So they're going to change to try to catch the current wave. Sigh, they're incorporating aspects of "Survivor" and game shows into the format.
One example of supremely bad taste is going away. (That's good.) But it's transforming itself into an even worse example of bad taste. (That's not.) (discuss)
Update: At least they're not going to clone Bert Parks. (I promise that's the last "clone" joke.)
