In the South Seas there is a cargo cult of people. During the war they saw airplanes with lots of good materials, and they want the same thing to happen now. So they've arranged to make things like runways, to put fires along the sides of the runways, to make a wooden hut for a man to sit in, with two wooden pieces on his head to headphones and bars of bamboo sticking out like antennas--he's the controller--and they wait for the airplanes to land. They're doing everything right. The form is perfect. It looks exactly the way it looked before. But it doesn't work. No airplanes land.

The Arab League has set up a Cargo Cult "Think Tank" called the "Zayed Centre for Coordination & Follow Up". Its objectives are described as:

1-Enhancement and consolidation of the concepts of Arab solidarity in all the political, economic, social and cultural fields amongst the Arab countries.

2-Contribution to the formulation of an Arab Strategic Vision to meet present and future challenges.

3-Consecration and defense of Arab National Identity.

4-Support and promotion of communication and cooperation with the International and Regional organizations.

5-Establishment of Arab cultural inter-relationships based on diversity within unity.

It follows all the forms of a Western think tank. They're issuing papers and analyses. They're holding symposia. It looks exactly like those in the West. But no thinking is taking place.

Case in point: in April they invited the Famous French Author And Writer Thierry Meyssan to come brief them. The title of his speech was "Review of the Apalling Fraud." It's been reprinted as a 32-page document, and MEMRI has published a summary (which is a damned sight easier to read than ZCCF's own).

We've been misled, boys and girls. We're all fools. Meyssan has the straight goods, though, and the ZCCF is here to help us. Among other things: Congress and the US media covered up the truth by not investigating events! It was actually the US Military who were behind the attacks last September! (Gasp!) They cleverly bombed the Pentagon to throw us off the scent! Meyssan says that a third building in NYC was bombed, but the press refused to report it! He doesn't say what that building was, or why suppression of the news would further the plot! (Too bad it wasn't the UN building!!!)

Apparently all the civilians living in NYC are part of the coverup, too. All this time you had a third building in ruins and none of you told us about it. I'll never trust anyone from NYC again, lying bunchabastards...

OK, we already know that Meyssan is a raving loon. This is the guy whose book claims that the Pentagon wasn't actually hit by a plane, despite direct eye-witness testimony of people who actually saw the impact.

But ZCCF is taking this guy seriously. Why? Because he says that Arabs didn't do it. If he'd somehow managed to blame it on the Jews, they probably would have put him on staff.
